The customer portal is a b2b web platform which enables funeral undertakers to manage orbituaries for print (multiple newspapers) and online publication into mediahuis’s media. The application serves as a portal to also accomodate other types of paid publications (e.g. Small search adds, special editions, …).
From the mediahuis’s CRM system funeral undertakers are synced to the portal in which they are given access. Deceased can be registered in the application and orbituary publications (content and layout) can be created and edited in the portal by an integration with the chili document editor. Princing and order info are captured, passed and validated into ADSUITE which is the product configuration tool and pricing engine used by mediahuis. Integrations with TIBCO service bus, an external address service and chili were set up.
